MCC of the Palm Beaches: A Place of Many Ministers
THE MINISTRIES AND PROGRAMS OF MCCPB
Bill Meissner Food Pantry: Our Food Pantry provides groceries to anyone in need, regardless of religious affiliation; we currently provide food for approximately 1,500 people each month. The pantry is located in the church building and is entirely staffed by volunteers; most of the financial support comes from donations from the MCCPB congregation and friends in our community. Food distribution takes place on the first, second and third Wednesday of every month from 1 to 4 pm, and on the fourth Wednesday from 3 to 6 pm. The pantry is closed whenever there is a fifth Wednesday in the month to give our volunteers a chance to rest. Donations are gladly accepted and appreciated. Food donations are collected anytime and can be dropped off at the church office. For more information about donations, volunteering, or about receiving groceries, please contact email@example.com.
Garden Club: The goal of the Garden Club is to maintain and beautify the landscaping on the church grounds to present a wonderful first impression and a pleasing environment for members and visitors. We are a ministry that meets regularly to establish goals and projects, allowing volunteers to work independently at times that are convenient for them, or together as a group on clean-up days. For more information please contact Ray Caranci at RPC39@aol.com.
Hospitality Team: Hospitality is something we value a great deal at MCCPB, and members of our Hospitality Team work together to make our church the most welcoming place it can be. Coffee hour after Sunday worship, special event meals and social event potlucks are just a few of the ways this team is a blessing to MCCPB. For more information please contact Cyndi Lacharite at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Kevin McGee Drop-In Center: The Kevin McGee Drop-In Center for people living with HIV and AIDS provides lunch, games, social activities, movies, information and referral, groceries, toiletries, spiritual support and a quiet place to hang out on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month. All services are free of charge and open to anyone living with HIV and AIDS in Palm Beach County. Volunteers must first complete training to participate. If you would like more details about our Drop-In Center, please contact Dave Parziale at email@example.com.
Music Ministry: At MCCPB, we believe in the power of music to heal the soul and uplift the spirit. Our Sanctuary Choir rehearses on Tuesday nights at 7pm and is open to everyone. The church choir sings in worship at least once a month and for special worship occasions. Our Praise Team helps lead all congregational singing and rehearses every Sunday morning before worship. Another very important part of our music program is the individuals who help lead music on instruments. Our vision is to see this lived out in having a larger praise band, with the use of guitars, drums, trumpet, saxophone, and others. Special music is provided in each worship service through solos, duets, small ensembles, instrumental numbers, etc. For more information, please contact Music Director Jeremiah Cummings at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pastoral Care Team: The MCCPB Pastoral Care Team is made up of trained volunteers identified by the Senior Pastor as those whose ministry is best focused on providing prayer, spiritual support and a healing presence with those in need. Pastoral Care Team volunteers are mentored by MCCPB Deacons Gail Gill and Kathy Olejniczak. For more information please contact Rev. Marian Cavagnaro at email@example.com.
Troy's Club (Children's Church): Troy's Club is dedicated to making sure that MCCPB is a family-friendly place where children know they are loved and valued. We provide childcare during the 11 am service every Sunday for children age 10 and under. For more information please contact Rev. Marian at firstname.lastname@example.org.
WINGS (Welcome IN God's Sanctuary): WINGS began in 2004 with a few people who wanted to make sure that everyone felt welcome at church. WINGS volunteers make a point to greet all visitors and introduce them to others, to follow-up with visitors with emails, cards and additional information about MCCPB. For more information about WINGS, please contact Senior Pastor Lea Brown at email@example.com.
